Contact lenses are small circular transparent pieces that are worn directly on the surface of your eyes. They’re made of plastic or sometimes some other type of transparent material, and they rest on your eyes’ corneas or sclera. They come in contact with your eye, and that’s why they’re called contact lenses.
Your contact lenses will stay in place on your eye because there is surface tension between your lens, your eye, and the moisture on your eyes. This is called a fluid attraction force. It’s just like how a piece of paper will stick to your finger when it’s wet. Because the contact lens is very close to the shape of your eye, it is able to stick to the surface of your eye.
Cheap Contact Lenses
You’ll notice there might be a little extra space in the contact lens and that it doesn’t fit perfectly. This is how it is supposed to be, so that there is a space between the center of the cornea and the contact lens. Tears will fill this space and coat the entire front surface of your contact.
You’ll probably notice that your contacts don’t sit in place perfectly. They aren’t meant to sit in place perfectly. They tend to float around upward or downward depending on whether you’re blinking down or blinking back up. This allows your eyes to produce nutrients in the tear film, so your eyes can stay coated like they should be. If you have too much lens movement, however, your site will be blurred and your eyes might be irritated. If you have this kind of problem, you should probably get a different kind of contact, one that more closely fits your eye.

You’ll notice that you see quite a bit better with your contacts in than you do with your glasses. That’s because if you are nearsighted and put your glasses on, everything is in focus at a distance but is smaller than would be the case if you didn’t have your glasses on. Contact lenses increase your magnification slightly because of the closer focal length to the cornea of your eye. With contacts, you won’t experience any more obstruction to vision that’s made by the frame of your glasses. Contact lenses were a great invention for those who tired or wearing their glasses and wanted a way to see more clearly, with greater magnification, and without wearing something bulky on your face.
